12 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
4 tbsp butter
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup pasta water (reserved)
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1 cup pasta water.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic, cook 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, bring to gentle simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add nutmeg, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Toss cooked pasta in the sauce, adding pasta water as needed for consistency.
- Serve immediately topped with extra Parmesan and fresh parsley.
